PMEX Commodity Index drops by 105 points to close at 3,481 level

March 18, 2020: On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,481 by losing another 105 points. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 11.631 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,126.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 5.388 billion, followed by DJ (PKR 2.582 billion), Currencies through COTS (PKR 1.110 billion), Platinum (PKR 947.727 million), Crude Oil (PKR 541.906 million), Silver (PKR 380.823 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 324.920 million), Copper (PKR 180.999 million), SP500 (PKR 115.063 million), Brent Crude Oil (PKR 29.481 million), Palladium (PKR 23.013 million) and Natural Gas (PKR 6.223 million).

In agriculture commodities, 3 lots of Soybean amounting to PKR 19.675 million, 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 14.899 million, 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 7.963 million and 2 lots of Corn amounting to PKR 5.562 million were traded.
