PKR recovers dramatically against dollar

June 28, 2019 (MLN): PKR appreciated by 4.8 rupees against dollar at interbank today, as the trade at 12:20 pm (PST) was recorded at 159.25/160 per USD while deals were reported at 161 per USD.

In contrast, yesterday's interbank session was concluded at a closing quote of PKR 164.06 per dollar.

Updated at 12:45 pm (PST): The local currency held on to the gains it made in the second session of Thursday’s trade, and appreciated rapidly towards the end of the session. However the rupee lost some of the gains at the end and is now at 161.5/162.
