PKR loses Re1 against the greenback

November 2, 2022 (MLN): Dollar in the interbank was trading around Rs222.03 as of 1:30 pm and Rs225/227 in the open market.

On Wednesday, PKR breaks its winning streak after gaining Rs1.84 for two consecutive sessions and yesterday the currency settled the trade at PKR 220.65 per USD an appreciation of Rs0.24 or 0.11%.

At around 1:30 pm, the rupee was trading at Rs220.03, a depreciation of Re1 or 0.45% against the greenback.

While speaking to MG Link News, Mohammed Sohail CEO of Topline Securities said that the current rupee value is dependent on the Chinese response to debt rollover in the ongoing visit of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
