PKR hits 210/USD in intraday trade

June 20, 2022 (MLN): The downward slide of the Pakistani rupee (PKR) has made a fresh all-time low as the currency is being traded at 209.99/210.99 against the USD [11:00 PST], losing 1.25 rupees compared to the previous close of 208.75 per USD.

In the absence of the IMF tranche and delay in the FATF decision which will be announced after FATF’s onsite visit to Pakistan, the rupee took a major hit.
