PKR appreciated by 69 paisa against GBP

April 17, 2019 (MLN):The exchange rate of US Dollar (USD) against Pakistani Rupee (PKR) remained unchanged at the interbank today, as it closed the trade at PKR 141.39 per USD.

On the other hand the local currency appreciated by 69 paisa against Pound Sterling (GBP) as it closed at PKR 184.37 against previous session’s closing of PKR 185.06.

Moreover, against EUR, the interbank market closed with Rupee quoted at PKR 159.97 which marked a depreciation of 26 paisa.

The Open Market Rate for USD was quoted at 141.00/142.50.

In the money market, the SBP will conduct an auction for Fixed and Floating Rate PIBs today.

Meanwhile the Overnight repo rate towards close of session was 10.85/10.95 percent and 1 Week rate was 10.75/10.85 percent.
