PHDL quarterly profit surges 14-fold

October 28, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan Hotels Developers Limited (PSX: PHDL) earned a net profit of Rs232.64 million [EPS: Rs12.92] during the quarter ending September 2024, up 1280.5% from Rs16.85m [EPS: Rs0.94] in the same period last year (SPLY).

That was on the back of other income of Rs201.98m earned in Q1 FY25.

The company's revenue from discontinued operations fell by 53.4% to Rs90m. Gross profit fell 66.0% to Rs23.59m in Q1 FY25.

The gross margins worsened to 30.1% as compared to 41.3% in SPLY.
