Karachi Stock Exchange – 100 Index today inched lower after it lost 54 points today, closing at 43572 points, after volumes dropped by 38% to 39.032 million.
KSE – 100 movement has been relative as earnings session has had the markets react vigorously. Furthermore, the volatility has also been apparent in the global markets where markets went through a roller-coaster ride during the last week as they calmed down today.
Tobacco, Oil & Gas Exploration companies, and Technology & Communication stocks closed the session at the bottom after collectively taking away more than 57 points.
Habib Metropolitan Bank, Kohinoor Textile Mills, Amreli Steel, Hub Power Company, Fauji Cement, United Bank Limited and Ferozsons Laboratories reported financial results for their respective periods today.
Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Food & Personal Care Products (19.267 million), Cement (14.965 million), and Technology & Communication (12.187 million) with Textile Composite (4.733 million) and Transport (3.657 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of -54.43 points down 0.12%, closing in at 43572.67 points with index high-low range of 43945.62 – 43512.09.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 126.714 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 5.124 billion.

The index moved in the range of 433.53 points.
37 companies closed up, whereas 53 were down at the day end.
