Pakistan’s KSE – 100 gains 210 points

KSE – 100 index closed positive today after a rebound was witnessed in the global equities markets, after a historic fall. Dow Jones closed up 2.3% at 24912.77, the highest in the history of the index.

Furthermore, on the local front, the Sindh High Court in a ruling today has declared the recent Statutory Regulatory Orders (SRO) issued by Federal Board of Revenue on import of certain items as null and void.

Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Engineering (36.428 million), Tech & Comms: (36.017 million), and Textile Composite (26.239 million) with Refinery (10.863 million) and Fertilizer (9.019 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.

KSE - 100 Index at the day end moved a total of +210.98 points up by +0.48%, closing in at 4096.49 points with index high-low range of 44299.87 – 43885.51.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 269.825 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 11.343 billion.

The index movement was limited within the 414.36 points range.

46 companies closed up, whereas 42 were down at the day end.
