December 31, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan aims to take its relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to greater heights by increasing exchanges of delegations in the trade sector, thereby expanding bilateral relations in the economic sector.

Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said during a meeting with the Ambassador of the UAE to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, at the Governor's House.

He further added that UAE companies can invest in various sectors in Pakistan, according to APP.

UAE envoy Hamad Obaid said that there were vast possibilities for cooperation with Pakistan in the renewable energy sector.

"UAE embassy was working on resolving issues regarding visas", he remarked.

Governor Punjab apprised the UAE ambassador of the difficulties faced by Pakistanis, especially students, in obtaining UAE visas.

Saleem Haider Khan stated that Pakistan and the UAE share deep brotherly relations and discussed matters of mutual interest during the meeting.

He said the development of the economy was a top priority of the government and, therefore, the government was providing facilities to foreign investors through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

Governor Punjab said that Pakistanis consider the UAE their second home due to their common religion and culture.

He outlined that Pakistan values the UAE government's cooperation in health, education, and other sectors.
