Pakistan Stock Exchange rises 303 points

Carrying forward yesterday’s momentum, KSE-100 index went through an upward moving session. Cement, Oil & Gas exploration companies, and fertilizer stocks were top performing sectors during the day. Session was cut short at 2:10 pm after a technical error caused the Trading and Exposure Management System to stop working .

Market participation was limited till mid-day, however, the activity for the traded day was around 48 million with a total value of 2 billion

LUCK +31.39, DAWH +21.55, POL +19.72, ENGRO +16.77 and OGDC +16.27 added most points during the session with prominent scrips from the cement sector.

Engineering, Cable & Electrical goods, and Technology & Communication scrips witnessed most turnover during today’s session. Whereas, Textile Composite and Glass Ceramics witnessed the lowest turnover.

KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of +303.64 points up by 0.74%, closing well before the stipulated time 2:10 pm while trading at 41595.32 points. Index Volume was 48.11 million shares, value of shares traded was PKR 4.1 billion with index high-low range of 41626.86 – 41291.68.

The index movement was limited within the 335.18 points range.

62 companies closed up, whereas 23 were down at the day end.
