Pakistan ranks high with 14% jump in UN's trade facilitation rankings

July 31, 2023 (MLN): Pakistan has made significant progress in trade facilitation, resulting in a remarkable 14% jump in its global ranking in 2023 owing to the implementation of multiple reforms and automation initiatives with special emphasis on the Pakistan Single Window system, as reported by the United Nations.

In the South Asia region, Pakistan has been ranked the second best in terms of efficiency of International Trade. At 70.97%, it is ahead of Bangladesh (64.52%), Sri Lanka (60.22%), Nepal (58.06%), Maldives (55.91%), & Afghanistan (43.01%).

In terms of progress, Pakistan registered one of the biggest jumps in the world. With more activities in the works, the future indeed looks promising.
