Pakistan faces 6,516 MW power shortfall

June 24, 2023 (MLN): Pakistan is facing electricity problems as the demand for power has surpassed the supply by a substantial margin of 6,516 megawatts (MW), which has resulted in prolonged and unscheduled load shedding in various cities.
According to reports, the total electricity production is 21,814 MW, while demand is 28,000 MW.
As a result, certain cities have witnessed 12-hour load shedding.
