May 30, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan Cables Limited (PSX: PCAL) has completed the successful commissioning of a 2.0 MW captive solar plant located at its new manufacturing facility in Nooriabad, Sindh.

This development comes as part of the company's commitment to pursuing environmentally friendly initiatives.

Moreover, this progress in the solar field comes in addition to the company achieving TUV certification for its locally manufactured solar DC cables.

The efforts to get TUV certification were facilitated by the Engineering Development Board on the demand of REON Energy, a leading Solar Solution provider and EPC Contractor, and an importer of DC cables.

Moreover, this milestone signifies a transformative shift towards self-sufficiency and competitiveness in the renewable energy landscape.
