Federal Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that gas agreement with Qatar will be continued despite recent clash between Arab countries.

The Minister said, “The project will be completed without any interruption. No country can affect the agreement at any cost as it’s a private and mutual matter of two countries and no one should have any issue with it.”

It is to be mentioned here that an agreement worth $1 billion was signed about one year ago according to which, Qatar will provide gas to Pakistan from 2016 to 2031.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) accused Qatar of funding several terrorist networks and banned terrorist groups.

However, Qatar denied the allegations and said that it would not compromise its sovereignty over foreign policy to resolve the region’s biggest diplomatic crisis in years.
