Overseas Pakistani remit USD 16,991.59 Million during July-March FY20

April 10, 2020 (MLN): Overseas Pakistanis remitted USD 1.89 billion in the month of March 2020 compared to USD 1.82 billion in February 2020 showing an increase of USD 69.43 million over the previous month.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan the remittances increased by USD 160.87 million compared to March 2019.

The total amount remitted during July-March FY20 was USD 16.9916 billion compared to USD 16.0309 billion from the corresponding period of FY19 which showed an increase of USD 960.71 million or 5.99 percent.

Saudi Arabia was the largest source of remittances having contributed USD 452.27 million followed by UAE with USD 420.35 million and USA providing USD 352.42 million.
