Opening Bell: KSE-100 index up by 315 pts

March 10, 2020 (MLN): The KSE-100 index has gained 315 points in the intraday session, and is trading at 37,389-mark as of now.

The recovery was led by a sharp bounce in the price of oil on Tuesday, a day after global equities suffered their biggest losses in more than a decade.

The majority of these gains have been brought in by Commercial Bank, who presently are up by 216 points. On the contrary, Oil and Gas Exploration Companies are still suffering as they have lost 178 points till now.

The PKR was trading at 157.75/157.85, lower than yesterday's ready session close of 156.58 but stronger compared to yesterday’s second session close of 158.

In the open market, the Dollar was being quoted at 155.50/158.50.
