OMO results: SBP injects Rs 604bn for 7 and 63 days

December 31, 2021 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted another Open Market Operations (OMO) today, in which it injected Rs330 billion and Rs274 billion into the market for 7 days and 63 days at 9.87% and 9.88%, respectively, bringing total injections to Rs604 billion.
This is the third time in a month that SBP has conducted OMO for a tenor of more than two months.
To recall, in the last two OMOs, SBP injected Rs1.77 trillion and Rs1.08 trillion into the market on Dec 17 and Dec 24, respectively.
