OGRA slashes RLNG prices by up to 7.11%

October 12, 2024 (MLN): Following the Federal Government’s policy guidelines, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday reduced Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices by up to 7.11% for October 2024.
The reduction is mainly on the back of the significant drop in Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) price, showing the global decline in LNG prices.
According to the notification, the new RLNG prices for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) have been adjusted as follows:
For Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGP), the transmission price is reduced to $12.0714/MMBtu, down from $12.9208/MMBtu in September 2024, reflecting a 6.57% drop.
The distribution price has also decreased to $12.9393/MMBtu, a 6.62% reduction from last month’s $13.8560/MMBtu.
For Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the transmission price now stands at $10.9238/MMBtu, a 7.10% drop from the previous rate of $11.7589/MMBtu.
Similarly, the distribution price has been cut to $12.4658/MMBtu, representing a 7.11% decrease from $13.4205/MMBtu in September.
