OGRA launches crack down against black marketing of LPG in Ramadan

March 13, 2024 (MLN): In response to increased black marketing of LPG during Ramadan, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has launched a crackdown against illegal hoarders to ensure that LPG is sold to end consumers at prices prescribed by OGRA.

According to Imran Ghaznavi, spokesperson of OGRA, the authority has communicated to the Provincial Chief Secretaries to direct the local governments to take immediate necessary action against illegal hoarders.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division has also issued letters to the Chief Secretaries for appropriate actions.

Additionally, OGRA Enforcement teams are already in the field to monitor the stocks and ensure the sale of LPG at prescribed prices.
