OGRA grants license to SSGC's subsidiary for natural gas sale

January 24, 2024 (MLN): The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has granted a license of SSGC Alternate Energy (Private) Limited (SSGC-AE) to undertake the regulated activity of the sale of natural gas/ RLNG to its customers in accordance with the terms and conditions given in the license.

It is pertinent to note that SSGC-AE is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (PSX: SSGC), and this information was communicated by SSGC through a notice on PSX today.

SSGC’s main activity is the transmission and distribution of natural gas in Sindh and Baluchistan.

Additionally, the company is also engaged in certain activities related to the gas business including the manufacturing and sale of gas meters and construction contracts for laying of pipelines.

At the time of writing, SSGC's scrip is being traded at Rs12.3, up by 19 paisa or 1.57% compared to the previous close.
