January 20, 2025 (MLN): Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (PSX: OGDC) has declared an increase in oil production from the Pasakhi-7 well, situated in District Hyderabad, Sindh.
The well is part of the Pasakhi Development & Production Lease (D&PL), where OGDCL holds full ownership with a 100% working interest.
As part of its optimization efforts, OGDCL deployed a rig to replace tubing and re-complete the Pasakhi-7 well using an artificial lift system (Jet Pump), the company's filing on PSX revealed today.
The company also introduced Multiphysio Chemical Stimulation technology in the Southern Region.
These measures boosted production at the well from 375 barrels per day (BPD) to 520 BPD, an increase of 145 BPD.
OGDCL has also achieved its first-ever discovery in the Mari East Block with the exploratory Chak 212-1 well, located in Rahim Yar Khan district, Punjab.
After laying a 4”-14.5 km flow line connecting the well to the Maru-1 facility, the company is supplying 2.0 MMSCFD of gas to Engro Fertilizer.
