NEPRA likely to increase fuel prices on account of fuel price adjustment

March 18, 2019 (MLN): National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) is likely to increase fuel price adjustment for February 2019.

According to a notice issued by NEPRA, Central Power Purchasing Agency Guaranteed Limited (CPPA-G) has proposed an increase of Rs.1.23 per Kwh in fuel prices.

With these adjustments, cost to electricity producers will arrive at Rs.5.20 per Kwh compared to the older cost of around Rs.3.97 per Kwh.

A hearing in this regard is scheduled to be held on March 29, 2019.
