NCCPL updates list of SLB eligible securities for short selling

October 17, 2023 (MLN): The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has issued its quarterly review of securities eligibility for securities lending and borrowing (SLB) with modifications to the list for short selling.

These changes will take effect from October 31, 2023.

Securities to be Included for short selling in “Category A” include Dewan Cement Limited (DCL), Descon Oxychem Limited (DOL), Fauji Foods Limited (FFL), International Steels Limited (ISL), Millat Tractors Limited (MTL), Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited (MUGHAL), and Pakistan International Container Terminal Limited (PICT).

On the flip side, securities to be excluded are Attock Cement Pakistan Limited (ACPL), Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML), Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL), Hum Network Limited (HUMNL), Pakistan National Shipping Corporation Limited (PNSC), Shell Pakistan Limited (SHEL), and Tariq Glass Industries Limited (TGL).

Meanwhile, for “Category B”, First Capital Securities Corporation (FCSC ) and Sitara Peroxide Limited (SPL) will be included.

Additionally, these two securities will also be included in the list of companies in the Margin Financing (MF) System.
