National Refinery to temporarily close production

March 26, 2020 (MLN): National Refinery Limited announced that it will be temporarily closing down its production with effect from March 25, 2020 in view of the provincial government’s decision for lockdown to curtail the outbreak of corona virus, which has resulted in extremely low demand for petroleum products.

The company clarified that it carries sufficient inventories to meet the current requirement.

The decision to restart the refinery will be reviewed in the first week of April 2020.
