National Refinery Limited: Begins Operations from Diesel Hydro Desulphurization and Isomerization Units

NRL informed all its stakeholders via sending a notice to the PSX that it has successfully started operations of its Diesel Hydro Desulphurization (DHDS) and Auxiliary Units. The completions equips NRL to be compliant with the Government Directives to produce High Speed Diesel (HSD) meeting low Sulphur (500 ppm) Euro-II specification.

The plant will have a an ability to reduce Sulphur content to a value as low as 10 ppm.

Moreover, NRL also revealed that Naphtha Isomerization (ISOM) Unit is in nascent stages where as the Auxiliary Units (Naphtha Splitter and Naphtha Hydrotreater) have already been commissioned and the Refinery will generate Motor Gasoline by mid of July 2017.
