NA body to discuss misappropriation in NBP on Tuesday

National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance will meet here on Tuesday (tomorrow) in which Governor State Bank of Pakistan will present a report on recommendations of the Committee regarding misappropriation in promotion process for National Bank of Pakistan's employees.

Secretary Ministry of Finance and Governor State Bank of Pakistan will brief the committee about selection criteria for the appointment of President NBP, a notification issued by the National Assembly said on Monday.

Meanwhile, President NBP will also brief the committee on qualification of HR Committee Members and head of said committee for each category.

During the meeting, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will brief the committee about the implementation status on industrial importer at import state for raw material.

Furthermore, the meeting will also discuss the implementation status about anomalies pointed out by the Pakistan Real Estate Investment Forum (PREIF) and other stakeholders in FBR valuation table of property tax.

Chairman Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) will also brief the committee regarding insider trading, misappropriation in stock market, role of SECP and actions taken by the Commission in this regard.
