Motorcycle, three-wheeler sales rise 35% in Oct

November 11, 2024 (MLN): Motorcycles and three-wheeler sales in Pakistan rose 35.02% in October 2024 to 137,693 units compared to 101,976 units sold in the same month of last year, the latest data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed today.

Similarly, on a month-on-month basis, the sales were recorded 5.14% higher compared to the topline of 130,960 in September 2024.

Cumulatively, in 4MFY25, sales of the respective category clocked in at 457,880 units, 23.43% higher compared to 370,966 units sold in 4MFY24.

The total production of Motorcycles and three-wheelers in Pakistan was recorded at 136,926 units in October, up 27.88% compared to 107,078 manufactured in the same month of last year.

On a monthly basis, the production comparison reflects a similar trend, rising 8.16%. In the previous month, 126,597 Motorcycles and three-wheelers were manufactured in the country.

Honda continued to solidify its position as the dominant industry leader, with sales of 115,293 units in October alone, taking its market share to 83.73%.

The brand's sales figure reflect a growth of 4.68% compared to the previous month, while up 27.93% compared to the topline recorded in October 2023.

The second and third leaders on the list were United Auto Motorcycle and Sazgar Three Wheeler, with sales figures of 14,343 and 2,401 units respectively in the review month.

Following closely, Suzuki sold 2,182 bikes in October, up 6.49% MoM, while 78.85% higher compared to October 2023.

In 4MFY25, Honda's sales were recorded at 386,170 units, compared to 322,260 units sold in 4MFY24.
