November 18, 2024 (MLN): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday emphasized the need to take steps on a sustainable basis to promote bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Netherlands.

In a meeting with Ambassador of the Netherlands Henny De Vries, issues of mutual interest, bilateral relations and increasing cooperation in various fields were discussed.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to hold a cricket series between Pakistan and the Netherlands next year.

Netherlands also agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding with PCB for the promotion of cricket.

The ambassador of Netherlands said that the cricket team of Netherlands will visit Pakistan next year and play a match with the A team.

The minister also assured full support for the promotion of cricket in the Netherlands.

About the Afghan Refugees issue, the minister clarified that Pakistan has been hosting Afghan refugees for decades, and a comprehensive policy is being implemented for the return of Afghan refugees living illegally in Pakistan.
