Mini budget to be approved within a week: Minister Revenue

February 22, 2019 (MLN): Minister of Revenue Mr. Hammad Azhar has briefed the media regarding Mini Budget saying that it will be approved within one week.

Adding on he reminded that the government “inherited highest current account deficit and fiscal deficit and in current fiscal year we have to make payment of 10 billion dollars, while the government has to pay Rs.1, 700 billion in debt and interest payments.”

Emphasizing on the importance of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)’s role in revenue collection, he said that the government wishes to strengthen the organization in order to achieve the target revenue.
