Mehmood Textile Mills’ capacity expansion to add Rs3bn in topline

November 9, 2021 (MLN): Mehmood Textile Mills Limited has launched an apparel unit with a capacity of 10,000 units/day and committed to taking it to 35,000 units per day within 18 months timeframe.

As per the company, it is the only project of its own kind in South Punjab and it will add Rs3 billion in top-line.

In this regard, all major requirements have already been installed such as; Infrastructure, ETP, Boiler, Power capacity, Sustainability infrastructure and Utilities, the company in its recently issued annual report to Exchange said.

“Keeping in view stated expansions we will be achieving a target of 35,000 units/day,” the company said.

The management is committed to achieving economies of scale by reducing the cost of production and increasing their quantity of output. Moreover, the company will take benefit from technological advancement in machinery and by spreading its fixed costs over more units and will experience economies of scale.

For this, the company is adding 35,328 spindles in its existing production line against TERF/ LTFF loan this BMR will add Rs3.6bn in its top line and will be operational in next year, the report said.
