Mashreq Bank expands footprint in Pakistan

October 25, 2024 (MLN): Mashreq Bank, one of the leading financial institutions in the MENA region, is expanding its operations in Pakistan and will soon launch a new office.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with the leadership of Mashreq Bank on Thursday and hoped that the approval of its digital banking license would be processed swiftly.
He appreciated the Bank’s longstanding partnership with Pakistan and highlighted the performance of the economy over the past year.
The Minister briefed the Bank’s leadership on the reforms committed under the recently concluded IMF Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
He expressed the government’s intention to tap into international capital markets in due course.
