Equity

KSE 100 Index ended Friday's first session at 32,642.65 up 77.51 points. The index remained positive throughout the session touching a high of 32,771.86 (206.72) points. Total volume was 64 million shares with 270 traded companies of which 184 advanced, 77 declined while 9 were unchanged. Volume leader was Sui North Gas with 4.28m shares followed by TRG Pak with 3.90m and K-Electric with 3.59m shares.

Forex

PKR appreciated agaisnt the USD after, according to market sources, a Central Bank Intervention. The Rupee started the session between 105.52/56 however, it started appreciating and gained 16 paises to close at 105.37/40.

Money Market

The SBP also injected Rs.1,199.95 Bn in the Money Market for 7 Days through an OMO (Reverse Repo). The ON Rates remained at 6.25/6.40 with 6M Kibor set at 6.28/6.53.
