KSE – 100 loses 1.45% in the first session of the week

In the first session of the week leading up to the General Elections 2018, KSE – 100 continued to lose points throughout the day as it ended at 40,463 points, more than 750 points lower than the previous session’s closing.

The day high was recorded at 41,221 points while the low was at 40,418 points. The index travelled between a range of 803 points.

Within KSE 100 Index today, 60.9 million shares were traded, at a value of PKR 4.3 billion.

Tobacco sector performed the best during the day’s session, contributing 7.43 points to the index. However, the worst performing sectors in today’s session, majorly threw this contribution off balance as Commercial Banks, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies and Cement, together took away a total of 456 points from KSE – 100.

14 companies ended the session positively, 72 ended negatively and 4 companies remained unchanged.

On the other hand, KSE All Share concluded the day at 29,513 points, having lost 433 points from the last session’s closing value. The day high went up to 29,948 points while the low stood at 29,462 points.

108.8 million Shares were traded at KSE today, valued at PKR 5 billion

Commercial banks led the sector turnover at KSE All Share Index today since a total of 14.07 million shares were traded in the sector.

63 companies concluded the session positively while 212 ended it negatively.
