KSE – 100 Index today opened the week on a positive note after it closed the session up by more than 64 points against yesterday’s close. The market’s overall response to the rate hike remained mixed during today’s session however appointment of ex-CJ Mr. Nasir-ud-din as the caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan fueled the rally.
The index traded within the range of 670 points during the day touching an intraday high of 42543.27 points.
According to the NFDC, According to the latest data released by the National Fertilizer Development Centre, total nutrient offtake during April, 2018 was about 260 thousand tonnes, which was 21.2 per cent higher than April, 2017.
Volume traded at KSE – 100 index decreased by 35.2 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 84.842 million versus 62.741 million yesterday.
Fertilizer, Tobacco and Textile Companies during today’s session was at the lead today after collectively contributing more than 104.17 points.
Commercial Bank, Cement and E&P Sector’s companies during today’s session was at the bottom today after collectively taking away more than 103.44 points.
Sector-wise all share index top sector turnover was led by Commercial Banks (13.96 million), Cable and Electrical Goods (16.91 million), and Cement (13.56 million).
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 64.48 points up by 0.15 percent, closing in at 42,138.57 with index high – low range of 42,543.27– 41,872.34
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 139.34 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 6.35 billion.
The index moved in the range of 670.93 points.
55 companies closed up, whereas 31 were down at the day end.
