KSE 100 Index up 434 points at day end

100 Index bolstered its position at post 43500 level today after significant increase in investor participation. 100 Index All Share volumes reached 166.354 million during the day.

On the political front, the care taker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk appointed Cabinet for the interim government. Dr. Shamshad Akhtar has been made minister for finance, statistics and planning and development. Additional charge of ministry of commerce and Industries and production has also been given to her.

Abdullah Hussain Haroon has been assigned the portfolio of Foreign Affairs and National Food Security. Additional charge of Ministries of defense and defense production has also been entrusted to him.

Volume traded at KSE – 100 index increased by 73.078 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 122.477 million versus 73.078 million yesterday.

Commercial Bank, Oil & Gas E&P and Cement during today’s session was at the lead today after collectively contributing more than 369 points.

Sector-wise all share index top sector turnover was led by Commercial Banks (27.68 million), OMC (14.62 million), and Cable and electrical Goods (9.15 million).

KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 434.29 points up by 1.00 percent, closing in at 43702.58 with index high – low range of 43747.18– 43197.44.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 166.354 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 10.315 billion.

The index moved in the range of 549.74 points.

63 companies closed up, whereas 24 were down at the day end.
