KSE-100 index jacks up by over 500 points on IMF optimism

February 09, 2023 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) observed bullish trend on IMF optimism, the investors also cheered the news about the settlement with IMF as the government is trying to comply with the fund’s condition.

The KSE-100 index gained over 500 points, up by 1.21% at [10:32 PST], and is currently trading at 42,227.61.

Sector-wise, commercial banks, cement, fertilizer, oil & gas exploration, and pharmaceuticals have witnessed the maximum gains so far.

Scrip-wise, MLCF, DGKC, PIOC, KEL, and OGDC observed the highest-buying activity.
