KSE-100 index closes in green after 6 consecutive reds

Index today closed the session in green after adding a total of 25.13 points, up 0.06 percent closing the session at 41648.65 points. The index was positive mainly due to the passing of Finance Bill, Tax Amnesty and the Supplementary Budget grants.

The activity, however, remained dormant as investors await the passing of bill to kick in and yield positive results.

Volume traded at KSE – 100 index decreased by 1.437 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 52.321 million versus 53.084 million yesterday.

Commercial Banks, Tobacco, Chemical, Cement, Cable and Electrical Products and Food and Personal Care companies during today’s session were at the lead today after collectively contributing more than 119.77 points.

Sector-wise all share index top sector turnover was led by Commercial Banks (14.478 million), Chemical (9.262 million), and Cement (9.115 million).

KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 25.13 points up 0.06 percent, closing in at 41,648.65 with index high – low range of 41,9312.68 – 41,591.44.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 88.410 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 3.702 billion.

The index moved in the range of 321.24 points.

39 companies closed up, whereas 39 were down at the day end.
