KP govt spending over Rs5b on supply of clean drinking water to masses

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is spending more than Rs 5 billion on supply of potable water to public during current fiscal year.

Sources of Public Health Engineering Department said that 84 water supply schemes will be completed in different parts of the province.

The schemes include rehabilitation of damaged pipelines, conversion of 100 water supply schemes to solar energy and establishment of water testing laboratory inPeshawar.

Similarly, Gravity Flow Water Schemes will also be started in district Mansehra.
