Karachi Cantonment Board approves triennial property assessment 2025–28

May 28, 2025 (MLN): Karachi Cantonment Board has approved the triennial assessment of properties effective from 1st July 2025 to 30th June 2028.

Under this triennial assessment, a 40% increase in the commercial property value (which is in personal use) has been approved for calculating the property tax, along with a 25% increase in the value of residential properties.

This triennial assessment has been approved under Section 72 of the Cantonments Act, 1924, and shall remain applicable for a period of three years.

Shops and houses that are for rent will be assessed according to their rent, as per the notice issued by the Karachi Cantonment Board

All property owners and lessees within the limits of this Cantonment are hereby informed that if they have any objections or suggestions to the said triennial assessment, they may submit their written objections to the office.

These objections must be submitted within 30 days of the publication of this notice.
