K-Electric first unit BQPS-III detected a fault

September 23, 2022 (MLN): K-Electric Limited’s (KEL) first unit Bin Qasim Power Station 3(BQPS-III) is currently offline because a fault was identified during a test, the company’s stock filings on the stock exchange showed.

In the filing, the company stated that global experts have been tasked to resolve this on priority and there will be no financial implications on the Company pertaining to the repair of this fault because the plant is under project contractors and power is still supplied to consumers via alternate means.
