IRSA releases 88,186 cusecs water

December 08, 2021: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 88,186 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 32,428 cusecs, as reported by APP on Wednesday.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,454.05 feet, which was 62.05 feet higher than its dead level of 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as16,500 and 48,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,137.40 feet, which was 1,137.40 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded a 5,742 and 30,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 56,828, 49,171, and 33,055 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 2,800 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,386 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
