IRSA releases 55,587 cusecs water

February 07, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 55,587 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 45,450 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1442.15feet, which was 50.15 feet higher than its dead level 1,392 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 19,200 and 35,000 cusecs respectively. The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,144.05 feet, which was 394.05 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 9,663 and 4,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 43,280, 39,414 and 27,950 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 6,700 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 9,887 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
