International Steel increases steel prices by Rs2,000/ton

March 22, 2022 (MLN): International Steel Limited (ISL) has raised the prices of Cold Roll Coil (CRC) and Hot Dipped Galvanized Coil/Sheets (HDGC) by Rs2,000 per ton with effect from March 22, 2022.

The new prices are now clocked in at Rs218.5k per ton for CRC and Rs229.8k per ton for HDGC.

According to Topline Securities, the other steel players are also likely to increase the prices.

To recall, this is the third hike in local flat steel prices in the month of March, taking a cumulative increase to Rs10,000 per ton. The rise in local flat steel prices is on the back of a continuous increase in international HRC prices from $79 per ton on February 25, 2022, to $865 per ton on March 21, 2022.
