HBL appoints Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb as President, CEO

Habib Bank Limited in a bourse filing today announced that the company has appointed Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company with effect from 30 April, 2018.

The notice further mentioned that, “Mr. Aurangzeb is a respected and experienced banker with more than 30 years of diverse experience with leading global banks in Pakistan and overseas. He started his career with Citibank, first in Pakistan and later in New York. He then joined ABN Amro Bank in a senior leadership role, rising to the position of Country Manager in Pakistan. He has since held senior level regional and global positions in ABN Amro Amsterdam, RBS Singapore, and since 2011, with JP Morgan where he was the CEO Global Corporate Bank, Asia Pacific before joining HBL.”

Referring to his academic qualifications, the notice mentioned that “Mr. Aurangzeb is a graduate of Wharton School, University if Pennsylvania from where he received a Bachelor of Science as well as an MBA.”
