Govt slashes petrol prices by Rs8, Diesel by Rs5 per litre

May 31, 2023 (MLN): In order to provide maximum relief to the masses in difficult times, the federal government has decreased the price of petrol by Rs8 per liter, Federal Minister for Finance and revenue announced in a televised address.

Similiarly, the price of High-Speed diesel (HSD) and Light Diesel Oil has also been slashed by Rs5 per litre.

Effective from June 01, 2023, the new price of petrol will be Rs262 per liter, while the price of HSD will be Rs253 per liter.

Additionally, the new price of Light Diesel oil will be Rs147.68, while the price of kerosene (SKO) remained unchanged at Rs164.07.

This came on top of the price cut in petrol by Rs12 earlier on May 16, 2023.
