Govt slashes industrial electricity price by Rs10.69

June 14, 2024 (MLN): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday announced a significant reduction of Rs10.69 per unit in electricity tariff for the industrial sector, state-run Radio Pakistan reported.

The reduction in electricity prices has been made under Prime Minister's historic power package for improvement of country's industry.

According to the details, the price of electricity for the industry and export sector has been fixed at Rs34.99 per unit.

The PM’s package is expected to provide relief of over Rs200 billion to industries, making them competitive in the global market.

This package will reduce the cost of production of industrial and agricultural products and significantly increase exports.
