Govt fully focused on exploiting enormous mineral resources of country: Minister

January 22, 2020: Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that government is fully focused on exploiting the enormous mineral resources in the country.

Addressing the All Pakistan Chambers Presidents' Conclave in Islamabad, he said Pakistan's mineral sector has a massive potential and the nation would see a significant progress in this sector during the current year.

The Minister said Public Private Partnership would be promoted to successfully exploit the mineral resources.

Responding to a businessman's request for building gas and electricity infrastructure in the newly launched Special Economic Zone in Faisalabad under China Pakistan Economic Corridor, Asad Umar said he had already approved additional funds of 6.8 billion rupees for this purpose.
