Government to invest Rs. 480 million to accelerate oil & gas exploration in the country

Petroleum and Natural Resources Division has planned to execute five new projects worth Rs. 480 million rupees to accelerate oil and gas exploration activities under Public Sector Development Programme.

The official sources told media that the projects will focus on up-gradation of testing laboratories of Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan to ensure provision of quality petroleum products to consumers.

The government has allocated an amount of Rs. 220 million for strengthening and up-gradation of Karachi Laboratories Complex.

Whereas, Rs. 100 million rupees would be utilized for expansion and up-gradation of Pakistan Petroleum Core house to facilitate oil and gas exploration research in Pakistan.
