Gold soars by Rs 800 per tola to close at Rs 97,200

May 29, 2020 (MLN): The price of 24 Karat-Gold jumped by Rs 800 to Rs 97,200 per tola due to an increase in demand for safe-haven metals in local markets. The precious yellow metal of 24-Karat had closed at Rs 96,400 per tola on the last trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 10-gram gold also soared by Rs 686 to settle at Rs 83,333 as compared to Rs 82,647 during the last trading day.

Similarly, the silver prices also witnessed an increase of Rs 10 to close at Rs 1,040 per tola. Moreover, 10-gram silver gained Rs 8.58 to amount at Rs 891.63.

In the global market, gold prices inched up by $2 to $1,762 per ounce while silver was valued at $17.850 per ounce.
