Gold remains static at Rs126,200 per tola

January 10, 2022 (MLN): Gold rates on Monday closed on dull buying as the price of 24-karat per tola gold and 10-gram of gold witnessed no change and were sold at Rs126,200 per tola and Rs108,196,  respectively in the domestic bullion market.

On a similar note, the price of silver also remained static as 24-Karat silver and 10-gram of silver were available at Rs 1,450 per tola and Rs 1,243 respectively, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Group reported.

However, in the international market, precious metal prices edged higher by $2 to reach at $1,800 per ounce despite the rise in US treasury yields, hitting a two-year high, as traders were looking at factors such as inflation and ongoing geopolitical tensions. While silver was valued at 22.48 an ounce.
